402 – VERY RARE GERMAN MODEL 1857 CAVALY NEEDLE CARBINE SERIAL NUMBER 3:

In very good to fine original condition. 15.4mm caliber. 31 ½ overall length. Fine metal coated with an old protective grease. No particular markings but inspector proof marks throughout and a matching serial number 3 on barrel, frame and bolt. Brass mounted. Very good stock with light handling marks and faint inspector stamps. Excellent action with broken off needle tip. The bore is excellent but only rifled a couple of inches passed the chamber (the rifling is tapered with the smooth bore and does not end abruptly…?). A very nice and likely unique 57 Dreyse carbine!
