805 – NICE FRENCH NAPOLEONIC 1st EMPIRE CAVALRY OFFICER SWORD:
In nice untouched original condition. 100% authentic. Circa 1805. 39 7/10 inch overall length. Very good 34 inch blade retaining a large amount of its original blue and gilt finish over the original engraved décor. No nicks, dings.. on the cutting edge. Fine brass hilt with leather grip retaining all of its original wiring. The middle guard branch shows a sound period field repair (see photos). In its very good original brass mounted steel scabbard bearing a pleasing age patina throughout. A desirable and classic French 1st Empire cavalry saber! Free shipping.
