834 – SCARCE US M. 1872 MOUNTED ARTILLERY OFFICER SWORD:
In very good untouched original condition. 36 7/8 inch overall length. Fine brass hilt bearing a nice untouched patina. Very good grip retaining most of its original shark skin wrapping and 100% original wiring. Fine unmarked 32 inch blade showing a beautiful etched décor on both sides. No nicks, dings… on the cutting edge. In its very good brass mounted steel scabbard retaining a large amount of its original nickel finish somewhat tarnished in areas.
