821 – US MODEL 1872 CAVALRY OFFICER SWORD: In very good original attic condition. 39 ½ inch overall length. Brass hilt and scabbard mounts bearing a nice untouched age patina. Fine original grip retaining all of its original wrapping and wiring. Fine 34 inch blade with fine Boston maker markings on ricasso and beautiful etched blade décor on both sides. Blade and hilt are not perfectly tight together (some minor looseness). No nicks, dings… on the cutting edge. In its very good original brass mounted steel scabbard bearing an untouched age patina throughout. A nice and classic US 19th century officer’s saber! Free shipping…
